"male circumcision is known to decrease the risk of contracting an infection and/or STD, and makes for easier hygiene"

This is false. The ONLY negative thing that comes with being intact is a less than 1% higher chance of UTI which women are twice as likely to get but we just treat them with antibiotics and a 1% higher chance of penile cancer (only because there is more skin to get infected with cancer) which is super rare anyway, a man has a higher chance of getting breast cancer but we let him keep his breast buds. “Penile cancer occurs in less than 1 man in 100,000 and accounts for less than 1% of cancers in men in the United States.” - Source “Approximately 20% of all UTIs occur in men. Between 1988 and 1994, the overall lifetime prevalence of UTI in men was estimated to be 13,689 cases per 100,000 adult men, based on the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. In comparison, the estimate for women was 53,067 cases per 100,000 adult women during the same time period.” - Source There is an Australian study and one from Israel that actually suggests that circumcision may cause UTIs. The source of the idea that circumcisions prevent UTIs is Dr. Thomas Wiswell. Based on his own studies and findings, it would take 444 circumcisions to prevent 1 UTI, not worth it! - Source Every parent should teach their child how to properly bathe themselves, boy or girl. We teach girls to wash inside their labia and that cleaning is important boys are smart enough to understand that also once their foreskin is able to retract (NEVER forcefully retract the foreskin) they just rinse the skin with warm water. Soap can irritate the glans as well as the woman’s clitoris, so only use water! As for STDs or HIV circumcision status has no effect on catching the virus regardless of your penis type you need to WEAR PROTECTION. That is the only real way to prevent STDs and HIV infections. Condoms not cutting.

There are also different levels of FGM, a hoodectomy IS the same thing as MGM (What was usually performed in the US before it was made illegal in 1996). Removal of the prepuce - the clitoral hood and foreskin are the same part in men and women. Yes there are more severe cases of FGM performed in other parts of the world and they are just horrible, but in reality all forced genital cutting is horrible and no one can tell someone their pain is invalid because other people have it worse than they do. Saying boys AND girls deserve the right to their whole body is not comparing FGM to MGM, it’s saying ALL humans deserve human rights and they do.
