A federal lawsuit seeks immediate release of a closely held government report about how American branches of Israeli charitable and educational institutes fund secret nuclear weapons research and development programs.

An unclassified 1987 study conducted for the Department of Defense titled "Current Technology Issues in Israel" discovered Technion University technicians developing nuclear missile re-entry vehicles and working at the Dimona nuclear weapons production facility. Hebrew University computer scientists working at the Soreq nuclear facilities were "developing the kind of codes which will enable them to make hydrogen bombs." Israel’s Weizmann Institute "studied high energy physics and hydrodynamics needed for nuclear bomb design, and worked on lasers to enrich uranium, the most advanced method for making the material dropped on Hiroshima in 1945" say sources attributed to the report cited in the lawsuit.

It is time to hold Israel accountable, not only for its most recent attack on Gaza, but for its ongoing blockade, military occupation, and dispossession of the Palestinian people.

Sign this petition to President Obama demanding accountability and justice.

As Jewish survivors and descendants of survivors and victims of the Nazi genocide we unequivocally condemn the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza and the ongoing occupation and colonization of historic Palestine. We further condemn the United States for providing Israel with the funding to carry out the attack, and Western states more generally for using their diplomatic muscle to protect Israel from condemnation. Genocide begins with the silence of the world.

We are alarmed by the extreme, racist dehumanization of Palestinians in Israeli society, which has reached a fever-pitch. In Israel, politicians and pundits in The Times of Israel and The Jerusalem Post have called openly for genocide of Palestinians and right-wing Israelis are adopting Neo-Nazi insignia.

Furthermore, we are disgusted and outraged by Elie Wiesel’s abuse of our history in these pages to justify the unjustifiable: Israel’s wholesale effort to destroy Gaza and the murder of more than 2,000 Palestinians, including many hundreds of children. Nothing can justify bombing UN shelters, homes, hospitals and universities. Nothing can justify depriving people of electricity and water.

We must raise our collective voices and use our collective power to bring about an end to all forms of racism, including the ongoing genocide of Palestinian people. We call for an immediate end to the siege against and blockade of Gaza. We call for the full economic, cultural and academic boycott of Israel. “Never again” must mean NEVER AGAIN FOR ANYONE!

Nazi Resister Returns Holocaust Medal to Israel After Losing Relatives in Gaza - YouTube

[Henk] Zanoli writes: "For me to hold on to the honor granted to me by the State of Israel under these circumstances, would be an insult … to those in my family, four generations on, who lost no less than six of their relatives in Gaza." Zanoli added: "The actions of your state in Gaza these days have already resulted in serious accusations of war crimes and crimes against humanity. … It would be of no surprise to me that these accusations could lead to possible convictions if true and unpoliticized justice is able to have its course. What happened to our kin in Gaza will no doubt be brought to the table at such a time as well."

messianic Zionism recalls Nazi ideology:

Too many Israelis seem to believe they have a God-given right to occupy, suppress, disenfranchise and displace non-Jews—particularly Arabs—in Israel. That right seems to be implied in Prime Minister Netanyahu’s insistence that Palestinians affirm the State of Israel as the historic homeland of the Jewish people…

That belief may also account for the fact that adherents to a Jewish religious tradition that stresses the sanctity of human life and man’s creation in the image of the divine react so callously to the destruction of innocents, as Israelis have, 80 to 90 percent of whom have approved Israel’s incineration of so many of Gaza’s non-combatant population. It seems not to have occurred to them that this sense of special entitlement that characterizes their behavior resonates an ideology that led to the Holocaust even as they invoke the memory of the Holocaust in justification of measures they say are intended to prevent its recurrence.

Of all democracies in the world, Israel is probably the only one in which a member of its parliament, Ayelet Shaked, who publicly advocates genocide of the residents of Gaza, has not been expelled from her political party, Habayit Hayehudi, or from Israel’s parliament…

Israel's overwhelming use of military force constitutes collective punishment, which is a war crime. The laws of war, also known as international humanitarian law, are primarily found in the Geneva Conventions. Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, to which Israel is a party, specifically forbids collective punishment. It says, "No protected person [civilian] may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed . . . Reprisals against protected persons and their property are prohibited."

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will decide this Summer at its biennial General Assembly in Detroit (June 14-21, 2014) whether or not to stop investing in Caterpillar, Motorola Solutions, and Hewlett-Packard–3 companies that profit from the Israeli occupation. This proposal comes from the grassroots of the church as well as having been recommended by the church’s Mission Responsibility Through Investment Committee, the body of the church that implements the socially-responsible investment policies of the church.

We represent religious leaders, lay people and clergy from different faith-rooted traditions who support the Presbyterian Church in its quest to align its prophetic principles with actions that support the end of Israeli Occupation. We endorse the overtures that support boycott and divestment.

We share a belief in the central teachings of our respective religious traditions that mandate proactive nonviolent responses to systematic harming of fellow human beings. No human being is outside the circle of our concern. We fully support religious institutions that divest from corporations that profit from the construction of illegal Israeli settlements and barriers on Palestinian land in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. A religious community that proclaims justice and peace as its primary mission cannot accept funds from corporations that help maintain the vast system of repression used to occupy Palestinian land and harm Palestinian society.

It’s not easy being a whistleblower; least of all an Israeli soldier who decides to go public about his or her time serving in the Palestinian Territories. "Breaking the Silence" is an Israeli organisation that offers soldiers the opportunity to voice their testimonies. Its co-founder, Yehuda Shaul, talks to Annette Young about how they aim to expose the harsh realities of the Occupation to fellow Israelis.

There was this checkpoint inside Nablus itself; this road that connected Beit Furiq with other villages east of Nablus. We'd give them a hell of a time there. It was a checkpoint where we would detain whoever we felt like it, chase "leakers". That was what we did at that checkpoint.

Israel is guilty of “particularly severe” human rights violations, both in the Palestinian territories and Israel proper, according to a scathing new report by one of the country’s premier rights organizations.

This article investigates the history of contemporary Christian Zionism in the United States and the impact of this movement on US policy issues related to Israel-Palestine. Dispensationalist Christian Zionists, often described the 'Armageddon lobby', make up the largest voting bloc in the Republican Party and have become a mainstay in US politics. More recently, the Christian Zionist lobby has had a profoundly damaging impact on the Israeli-Palestinian 'peace process' as well as creating a conspiracy of silence regarding Israeli offensives in the occupied Palestinian territories. Though the 'Armageddon lobby' has been successful in its efforts as a pro-Israel lobby, its influence is in fact counterproductive to Israel because the lobby hinders the prospect of Israel living in peace because of their policy of deterring the progression of negotiations.

With the collapse of communism mankind's utopian fantasies have returned to a religious hue.  The Armageddonites (and their co-believer extreme fundamentalists in the Muslim and Jewish worlds) are the new dreamers of bringing paradise to earth, just, however, with the need to eliminate most of the human race first.  In America we have now this strange alliance, the Israeli Likud settler lobby gets money, guns and political cover.  In exchange millions of born again "rapture" evangelicals gain fulfillment, believing that they are helping God to end the world during their lifetimes and thereby will get a quick pass to heaven "without dying" (no judgment day). Oh, and with the death of all Jews (and the rest of the human race) who do not convert to their faith.
