“ Of course, the overwhelming majority of Muslims are not terrorists or sympathetic to terrorists. Equating all Muslims with terrorism is stupid and wrong. But acknowledging that there is a link between Islam and terror is appropriate and necessary. ”— Ayaan Hirsi Ali: The Problem of Muslim Leadership - WSJ.com
Gali was using her laptop in the hotel’s staff bar when her drink was spiked. She awoke to a nightmare beyond belief: she had been savagely raped by three of her colleagues. Alone and frightened, she took herself to hospital. What Alicia didn’t know is that under the UAE’s strict sharia laws, if the perpetrator does not confess, a rape cannot be convicted without four adult Muslim male witnesses. She was charged with having illicit sex outside marriage, and thrown in a filthy jail cell for eight months.

The Muslim Brotherhood warned the declaration would give girls sexual freedom, legalize abortion, provide teenagers with contraceptives, give equality to women in marriage and require men and women to share duties such as child care and chores.
It said the declaration would allow "equal rights to homosexuals, and provide protection and respect for prostitutes" and "equal rights to adulterous wives and illegitimate sons resulting from adulterous relationships."
The latest edition of the al Qaeda English-language magazine Inspire is out today. A digital copy of the magazine, provided by MEMRI (the Washington D.C. based Middle East Media Research Institute), shows a "Wanted: Dead or Alive" feature on page 10 of the new issue:
The current narrative of the popular mind — which characterizes the contemporary world — is that there is such thing as “human rights” which universally unite all humans, compelling them to accept a notion of intrinsic value in their very being. This narrative is fueled by a greater meta-narrative: that of Secular Humanism, the philosophy of absolute focus on that which it claims matters most — the human. In its claims it produces a familiarity, a universal brotherhood, which gravitates us to it in hope that it will create a better tomorrow of ever-growing progress, a collective consciousness of being that will allow us to be free and loving to one another without conflict and division. With it we will spring forth through history conquering the world of the anti-human, those depraved animals that only seek to undermine the utopian vision through their unwillingness to conform to the essential value of our species. It is a dream seeped in ideals of peace and virtue with goals towards an eternal, worldly ‘kingdom of heaven’, golden streets of economic prosperity and affection towards not the ‘other’, but ‘another’ — those no different from themselves, equal in their love and visions for the future. This, they say, is and will be — Enlightenment
Delusion.
If religion is the ‘opiate of the masses’ then Secular Humanism and its bastard child of human rights are its acid — the former may numb us to the realities of the world, but the latter erodes it in its hallucination. For even if religion numbs us, it never forgets the ground on which it lives. Contemporary man, however is the bastard child of that bastard child. We are the continued generation of a way of life that has had many lovers before it, starting with the Greeks, and has finally become impotent, passing its genes in a final revelation to its offspring, a confused youth looking for a father it never had.
We are no longer the inheritors of Truth listening to the screaming authenticity of our own existence. We are no longer in the world, a part of that which is Real, but now we attempt to define it within the prisons of our own imposed isolation from it. We are architects of that within which we wish to live and understand, and the saplings of trees we wish to grow in to, determined to defeat the inevitable destruction of the axe that death swiftly cleaves through the very roots of our being. As a consequence we have become alien to ourselves. Irrationality is never more clear than it is today. Rooted in the ground, we are trying to run from the lumberjack.
While Secular Humanism is the mother of this irrationality – capitalism its ultimate manifestation– human rights is its codification and the method by which it continues to breathe. To know ourselves, to save ourselves, we must destroy it. We must reject our mother as her lovers were rejected time and time again:
“But if they (your parents) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not; but behave with them in the world kindly” (Al-Qu’ran 31:15)
To us, however, we must go beyond this, for our true mother is not Secular Humanism. We are only her children because we do not know who has truly given us birth, and we illegitimately claim her as our genesis by which we live. In this sense, we should not treat her kindly at all, but remove the shackles of her nurture from our backs and decry her to the whoredom which she belongs. For as long as we are her offspring, we will forever be the transmitters of her disease.

Abul ʿAla Al-Maʿarri (Arabic أبو العلاء المعري Abū al-ʿAlāʾ al-Maʿarrī, full name أبو العلاء أحمد بن عبد الله بن سليمان التنوخي المعري Abū al-ʿAlāʾ Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sulaimān al-Tanūẖī al-Maʿarrī, born AD 973 / AH 363, died AD 1058 / AH 449) was a blind Arab philosopher, poet and writer.[1][2]
He was a controversial rationalist of his time, attacking the dogmas of religion rejecting the claim that Islam or any other religion possessed the truths they claim and considered the speech of prophets as a lie (literally, "forge") and (some of it) "impossible" to be true. He was equally sarcastic towards the religions of Muslims, Jews, and Christians. He was also a vegan who argued for animal rights.
Cairo: Egypt’s Shiites have lashed out at a local film, which they say is disrespectful to the daughter and grandchildren of the Prophet Mohammad.
“The Egyptian Shittes are considering legal action against the film and will request it be banned for insulting the people of the Prophet’s House,” said Baha Anwar, the spokesman for the Shiite minority in the predominantly Sunni country.
A controversial scene in the recently released film titled Abdou Muta (Abdou, the Deadly Man), shows the famed belly dancer performing at a folk fiesta to a tune referring to the Prophet’s daughter Fatima and her two sons, who are venerated by Shiites.
